It is usually needed because a birth certificate, a marriage certificate, an academic record or a court document has to be submitted somewhere that will not accept it in its original language, and that same authority usually wants the translation notarised, apostilled, or both.
Our rate is $30 per page, in all languages. Because we are also a notary practice and handle apostille, the translation, the notarisation and the apostille all happen in one place rather than across three vendors with three turnaround times.
